On Language

Somehow, I'm rather fascinated in languages nowadays. Going on from French language, to the sudden look at Hakka.

Stumbled upon a Hakka channel, of Taiwan origin. Apparently, the first and, for the time being, the one Hakka channel. Ironically, to me anyway, it's in Taiwan, not in mainland China. I guess the government in China is still very much enforcing the one country one language thing? Imagine Cantonese being chosen instead of Mandarin as the 'pu tong hua'. Will for the time being read and look at the channel for a while...

Well, I guess trying to be fluent in too many a few languages in a go is bad. Plus, lack of practice makes it worse...

(note to self: should start studying for French test, which is coming soon. No Hakka test...)

Well, try listening to this song. I guess it's the "I feel good" song of the Hakka TV. (Kinda like it...)
